As a full time Mechanical Fitter Trains you will work independently but also as a team member. You will work with big mechanical parts, but also with small inventory parts. In this job you will replace the inventory of trains, from luggage location to toilets to seats, etc. It is not a very common position, because of this you must be willing to learn and grow in the job.  

What are your responsibilities as a Mechanical Fitter Trains:

• System Installation: Responsible for the installation of mechanical systems and components on trains, ensuring proper integration with existing machinery and structures.
• Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure they operate efficiently and comply with safety regulations.
• Repairs and Upgrades: Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on faulty components, as well as implement upgrades to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Execute tests on installed mechanical systems to verify functionality and safety, ensuring all work adheres to industry standards and company policies.

This company’s mission is to carry out maintenance repair of rail vehicles including all subsystems, to ensure a maximum lifecycle with minimal cost investment. The company is on standby 24/7 to perform the job either on location or in their own workplace. 

Ervaring

To start working as a Mechanical Fitter Trains, you need to have the following

• Ability to speak English
• At least 3 years experience with (mechanical) fitting and repair work
• Able to work independently
• Willing to learn Dutch and stay in the Netherlands for the future
• B driving license

Arbeidsvoorwaarden

Hard work and talent should be rewarded. Therefore, as a Mechanical Fitter Trains you will receive the following:

• Salary between € 2.600 and € 3.200 gross a month.
• This is a salary between €391 and €696 net a week
• 8,33% holiday pay on top of your salary.
• 25 vacation days a year and 13 extra vacation days (ADV).
• House and health insurance are included in the net salary offer.
• Single room accommodation.
• Payment for plane tickets to your home country up to € 200,- every 13 weeks after 13 weeks of work.
